Project: Vila Amazonas Hotel

Sete de SetembroThe real estate properties for sale form the basis of a boutique hotel project in the iconic Centro Histórico of Manaus. The owners of the properties have decided to sell the real estate, preferably all to a single buyer. It is unusual to be able to purchase a number of properties adjoining and this offers the opportunity for the properties to be included in a larger project. Below is a general description the plan for a boutique hotel the Hotel Vila Amazonas. Though the project will not be pursued by the current owners, the opportunities for tourism development that the project offers are still very significant.

In general, the project plan is to construct a low profile but highly sophisticated hotel in one of the most important and appealing parts of the city center of Manaus. It will offer the comfort and style of a sophisticated hotel which will attract high revenue guests from within and outside of Brasil. The project will have the authenticity of incorporating historical buildings into the project while at the same time retaining the character and utility of the buildings and the retaining the authenticity of the historical district as a whole. This design strategy has been applied to many historically significant cities elsewhere in South America and especially in Europe where it has proven to be a very commercially successful formula.

The Project Hotel Vila Amazonas will be built in an historically very important part of the city center on the small peninsula São Vincente. This peninsula is surrounded by the Rio Negro and is the location where Manaus was founded and the original fortress of the Monarchy of Portugal was located.

The project will occupy a city block bounded by the two parallel streets of Avenida Sete de Setembro and Rua Visconde de Mauá. The side of the project that opens onto Av. Sete de Setembro opens onto one of the oldest plazas in the city, the Praça Dom Pedro II. The other side of the project that fronts Rua Visconde de Mauá will directly face the part of the Porto de Manaus that is scheduled to become the tourist port where large passenger cruise vessels will embark and disembark. This area will become one of the focal points of the city for both Brasilian and International tourists. The links below will download detailed descriptions of the project.

The properties are shown by appointment only. Please see instructions in the Contact Us page.
